As a cornerstone of our ministry, the Children's Pastor plays a pivotal role in guiding our youngest members on their spiritual journey. This position requires a vibrant, compassionate, and dedicated individual who possesses a deep understanding of children's spiritual, emotional, and social needs. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate biblical curriculum                                    
  • Lead Sunday classes and children's church services                                
  • Organize and oversee special events such as Kids Camp, holiday programs, and family activities                            
  • Provide pastoral care and support to children and their families                                    
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for the children's ministry                                
  • Ensure the safety and security of children during church activities                                    
  • Collaborate with other pastoral staff to ensure alignment of children's ministry with overall church vision                                  
  • Maintain communication with parents and keep them informed about their children's spiritual progress                          
  • Prepare and manage the budget for the children's ministry                                
  • Stay updated with the latest resources and best practices in children's ministry
  • Fulfill essential pastoral needs, including but not limited to, weekend pastoral duties, event assignments, weddings and funerals, etc.
  • While the primary function of this position is the kid’s ministry. This position will have other regular duties necessary to fulfilling the broader vision of New Life Church.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field in education                                                                                                                    
  • Previous experience working with children in a church or educational setting                                    
  • Strong knowledge of biblical teachings and ability to communicate them effectively to children                                    
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills                                    
  • Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers                                    
  • Creative and innovative approach to ministry                                    
  • Caring and compassionate demeanor                                                                                                  
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire children and volunteers                                    
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods                                    
  • Commitment to the mission and vision of New Life Church                                    
  • Passion for working with children and helping them grow in their faith                                  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
